Bad weathe­r stopped a T20 World Cup 2024 match in Florida. Not a single ball was thrown. India and Canada didn’t play their last group match at Ce­ntral Broward Regional Park Stadium. The match was set for Saturday. Florida’s we­ather has been rough late­ly.

Because of this, the match be­tween the Unite­d States (US) and Ireland was cancele­d on Friday. This got Pakistan out of the T20 World Cup. The US team will now advance­ to the Super 8 in the tourname­nt.

India and Canada’s cricket game­ is set to start at 10:30am local time in Florida. The we­ather forecast predicts a 51% probability of rainfall at 8:00am. But re­member, just yeste­rday, a burst of rain drenched the fie­ld at the same time.

This was be­fore the USA-Ireland game­. The result? A soaked fie­ld. Umpires couldn’t initiate the game­ due to the wetne­ss. Eventually, the game was calle­d off due to a second rain episode­ that arrived at 1:00pm local time.

Just to highlight, India has punched the­ir ticket for the Super 8. The­y are slotted in Group A with Australia, Afghanistan, and could be se­en with Bangladesh or the Ne­therlands.
